We didn’t get out much this last week. We were finishing up quarantine and attempted to clean some of the things out of our fridge and cupboard. We’re hoping to go hiking this weekend for the first time since the spring and to be a little more active in the world now that we all have more immunity from COVID.

The kids are getting better about playing together and Elliot can successfully walk about five feet before he goes back to crawling. Both kids helped assemble some furniture! Lilly helped with her ‘hammer’ and Elliot helped ‘hold’ the box. I love watching the kids get new skills

I was finally back in the office. But then my boss went home with COVID. Stay safe people, it seems like everyone is getting COVID at the moment. Elliot discovered the joy that is playing inside the toy box.

Lilly finally discovered (or cared?) that her Sesame Street pillows were complete. She threw them all over the kitchen after dinner and ran around hugging Elmo. I’m glad to see she’s enjoying them and hope they last for a few years.

Lilly is becoming a little miss. She has to try to fix her hair herself, dress herself, or do whatever task you are attempting to do before you can try. She is her mother’s daughter and while I want her to be independent, she’s going to be very headstrong soon.

Joe’s parents recently got some more meat for their freezer so we grabbed some steaks earlier in the week. The kids didn’t eat much steak, but they enjoyed the cheesy risotto we served with it.
