The ninth new brewery we visited this year was Dead Low Brewing, a brewpub that sits along the Ohio River in California, Ohio, a place I didn’t even know existed.
Exploring HighGrain Brewing
The eighth new to us brewery that we visited this year was HighGrain Brewing Company. It first opened its doors in the summer of 2019 and operates as a brewpub in the former Silverton Memorial Municipal building in Silverton, Ohio.
Exploring Swine City Brewing
The seventh new brewery that we visited this year was Swine City Brewing in Fairfield, Ohio. The brewery first opened its doors in early 2018.
Exploring Alexandria Brewing Company
The sixth new brewery that we visited this year was Alexandria Brewing Company in Alexandria, Kentucky, about 25 minutes south of downtown Cincinnati.
Exploring Wooden Cask Brewing
Wooden Cask Brewing has two locations: the brewery on York Street and the taproom on Newport on the Levee. We’ve only been to the York Street location, which had its grand opening in November 2016.
Exploring Third Eye Brewing
I feel ashamed to say that I've never been to Third Eye Brewing before this year. For one, the co-owner of Brink Brewing, Kelly Montgomery, is now the head brewer and we are a big fan of his beer.
Exploring Rebel Mettle Brewery
Rebel Mettle is new brewery number three for us this year and it was well worth the trip. It is located in downtown Cincinnati on Central Ave and W. 4th Street.
Exploring Humble Monk Brewing Co.
I’ve been interested in visiting Humble Monk Brewing since they opened in January 2019.
Exploring Wiedemann’s Fine Beer and Taproom
Cincinnati has always been a beer city. We have 60+ craft breweries to choose from and that’s not even including the ones in Dayton, which isn’t that far away. I realized that I can’t call myself a true supporter of Cincinnati craft beer if I haven’t been to half of them. That's why one of my goals this year is to get out and explore 12 local breweries in the Greater Cincinnati area that I haven't been to before. My first stop? Wiedemann’s Fine Beer and Brewpub.
Our New Year’s Resolution? Visit More Breweries
I have never been a resolution kind of person. I don’t mean that I haven’t set yearly goals in the past before. I have. But usually, my priorities shift by the time February comes along and I almost never follow through with them. This year, I hope that changes.
